Hewlett-Packard (HP), the internationally leading printer and IT equipment manufacturer held their Grand Reseller Meet and Top Achievers’ Award Ceremony on November 9, 2009 last, at Hotel Sheraton Dhaka. More than 200 HP Resellers and renowned IT personnel of the country were invited and participated in this grand get-together organized by HP Imaging and Printing Group (IPG).

HP Asia Emerging Country’s General Manager Irving Oh hosted this grand business partner meet. He awarded the top performers of HP FY09 with Top Achievers Award Crests and Certificates. A Special achievement award, ‘The Business Leader of the Year’ was presented to M. N. Islam, Chairman of Flora Limited for his leadership excellence. Among the other top achievers Akhter Hossain of Sys International received Highest Business Growth Award, Aslam Chowdhury of Advance Computer Technology received Best Corporate Sales Award, S.K. Biswas of Multilink International received Best Marketing and Promotion Award, Humayun Kabir of Flora Limited received Best Retail Channel Development Award, Trust Solutions received Best Total Customer Experience Award.

In the opening speech Shabbir Shafiullah, Country Business Development Manager of HP IPG Bangladesh said ‘This is HP’s way to say thank you to our deserving partners for their dedication, effort and hardwork. We are confident that jointly with our partners we can ensure HP customers can get best products and services in the industry’. He also explained the HP Winning Formula of speed of execution, team work and technology, in all these HP is clearly a leader. Irving Oh delivered a lively presentation on how HP is offering their customers more value for money. He shared live examples how customers world-wide benefited by using HP having low total cost of ownership in long-run yet having high customer satisfaction level. He also highlighted the inventions that HP has incorporated in their products like Instant-on-Technology. Sarower Chowdhury, Business Development Manager of HP explained HP Printing Solutions and the key technology built-into the HP Printers like Color Access Control, Security Printing, WebJet Admin etc. A.K. Azad, Market Development Manager of HP described the HP Printer line-ups. He also gave brief technical details of the newly introduced printers and all-in-one devices.

M. Aslam, CEO of Advance Computer Technology mentioned that according to IDC and Gartner’s reports world-wide HP holds number #1 ranks for InkJet Printers, LaserJet Printers, All-in-Ones, Scanners and Printing Cartridges, which helps us to tell our customers clearly that HP has the best products in the market.
