সেই ১৯৯৫ সাল থেকে গেমের জগতে সেরা গেমগুলোর মাঝে পুরস্কার বিতরণের আয়োজন করা হয় একটি অনুষ্ঠানের মাধ্যমে, যার নাম ইলেকট্রনিক এন্টারটেইনমেন্ট এক্সপো বা সংক্ষেপে ইথ্রি। সিনেমা জগতের অস্কারের সাথে তুলনা করা যেতে পারে এ পুরস্কারের। প্রতিবছরই এ অনুষ্ঠানের আয়োজন করা হয় ইলেকট্রনিক জগতের গণ্যমান্য ব্যক্তি ও বিশ্বখ্যাত প্রতিষ্ঠানের উপস্থিতির মধ্য দিয়ে। ১৯৯৫ সাল থেকে ২০০৬ সাল পর্যন্ত এ অনুষ্ঠানের নাম ছিল ইলেকট্রনিক এন্টারটেইনমেন্ট এক্সপো বা ইথ্রি। এখন তা বদলে করা হয়েছে ইথ্রি মিডিয়া অ্যান্ড বিজনেস সামিট। এবারের ইথ্রি শো অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে আমেরিকার লস অ্যাঞ্জেলেস কনভেনশন সেন্টারে জুনের ৭ থেকে ৯ তারিখ পর্যন্ত। নিনটেন্ডোর উইই ইউ হোম কনসোলের আগমন, বিশ্বখ্যাত গেম মারিও ব্রাদারসের নতুন অভিযান নিয়ে গেম, নিনটেনডোর ২৫ বছর পূর্তি উপলক্ষে বানানো দ্য লিজেন্ড অব জেলডা-স্কাইওয়ার্ড সোর্ড গেমের মনমাতানো ট্রেইলার, স্কয়ার ইনিক্সের অসাধারণ গেম ফাইনাল ফ্যান্টাসি ১৩-এর দ্বিতীয় পর্ব ও জনপ্রিয় স্টিলথ গেম হিটম্যানের নতুন পর্ব অ্যাবসলুশনের ট্রেইলার, মাইক্রোসফটের হালো ৪-এর চমক, সনির নতুন গেমিং কনসোল প্লেস্টেশন ভাইটাসহ আরো কিছু বিস্ময় তুলে ধরা হয়েছে এ অনুষ্ঠানে। এ বছরের গেমগুলোর মধ্যে যেগুলো বেশি প্রশংসিত হয়েছে সেগুলো হচ্ছে-
