Interactive Session ‘Kids & Technology’ held
Intel Bangladesh and British Council recently hosted at Dhaka an interactive session with media to focus on how the touch-generation can benefit from technology and how it positively impacts the quality of life. The event titled as ‘Kids and Technology’ was held at Bengal Gallery of Fine Arts in an informative and relaxed environment with a panel of expert speakers.

Rajiv Bhalla, Director - Strategic Initiatives, Intel South Asia, Zia Manzur, Country Business Manager for Intel in Bangladesh, Alexandra Tyers, Sr. Training and Development Consultant, British Council, Dr. Jena Derakhshani Hamadani, Head of Child Development Unit, icddr,b and Zakia Sultana, Assistant Professor, Department of English, Adamjee Cantonment College, Dhaka were present at this occasion.

Speaking at the event, Rajiv Bhalla, said, ‘Today’s kids are so completely at ease with navigating and flicking their way through devices to get to the latest game on a smart phone or tablet. The rapid spread of touch-screen computing devices like smartphones and tablets is creating a generation of children that we call the ‘Touch Generation’ – and they’re heralding a new era that fundamentally changes the way we interact with computers.

CTO Forum Is to Create IT Skilled Manpower
CTO (Chief Technology Officer Forum ) Forum is working to reduce the risk & create IT skilled manpower, Tapan Kanti Sarkar, president of the Forum mentioned in ‘Meet the Press’ program which was held on 07 September 2013 at CTO Forum Bangladesh Secretariat, 33,Tophkhana Road, Dhaka. He informed that CTO Forum Bangladesh has organized many technical sessions in last eight months where Local and Foreign IT experts shared their experiences.

CTO Forum has already signed MoU with different Universities and will organize such dialog with other universities also. He informed that we will also help the IT students to choose the right path for career perspective.
