HP has announced an expanded portfolio of environmentally-responsible imaging and printing products and solutions, including industry-first innovations for small and midsize businesses (SMBs). HP’s new offerings help SMBs to obtain more value from their IT investments in the wake of a strong market recovery and to reduce energy and paper use, reduce costs and reduce environmental impact.

Citi Financial IT Case Competition Kicks off

The ‘2nd Cit Financial IT Case Competition’ funded by Citi Foundation managed by D.Net (Development Research Network) & Citibank N.A. hold its 2nd round on May 29, 2010 at BRAC Centre Inn, in Dhaka. This competition is the 2nd time in Bangladesh and is providing an opportunity for undergraduate students of different public and private universities/institutions to compete in the development of unique software and information system solutions for the financial sector in Bangladesh.



The aim of the competition is to provide an opportunity for young and talented minds from different public and private universities to compete in the development of unique software and information system solutions for the financial sector in Bangladesh. It will help students improve their knowledge on the use/application of technology within the financial sector.

The Competition will consist of a preliminary screening round, 2nd round and 3rd /final round. This year 53 teams from 20 universities will be participating in this competition in the first round. After intense competition in the first round which held on May 05, 2010, 21 teams have battled their way to the 2nd round. From these 21 teams, the best 11 teams are selected for 3rd round which will be held in 3rd July 2010.

A Jury Board comprising of eminent personalities from different segments of the society will be supervising and assessing the case solutions based on the project evaluation guidelines. The winner of the competition will be announced in Last week of July 2010 in a Gala event.
