AOC Monitors Gears Bangladesh Partners

Internationally renowned Monitor brand - AOC conducted ‘display bootcamp’a partner sales training program in Dhaka recently. The event was two-pronged, where the first session was purely sales oriented and focused on sharpening sales skills. The 2nd session primarily focused on general display technologies ranging from the difference between LED and LCD to IPS monitors. The session also covered the basics of 3D technologies and geared the sales team to better inform consumers on the various 3D technologies available currently. Knockdown monitors were used to highlight the different technologies.

Present at the event were the sales force of AOC’s national distributor Khan Jahan Ali Computers and current Volume partners namely BusinessLand, Safe IT, Excel Technologies, Rahman Corporation, System Palace, BusinessLink, Computer Village and Computer City.

‘our goal is to prepare the sales teams for the future by giving them a broad knowledge on displays and the direction displays are heading’ said Shalini Pandey, Director Sales AOC.

World's Largest 100G WDM Network

Huawei On 23Febrauary has today announced that it has won a bid to deploy the 100G WDM network for Project 211 (phase 3) of the China Education and Research Network (CERNET). Covering the entire country, the coherent WDM technology based 100G network will be the world's largest in terms of geographic coverage. CERNET is committed to building and managing a nationwide academic internet. The 100G network will have the capability to offer a bandwidth of 8 Tbit/s over a single fiber, a transmission distance of 11,400 km and 913km biggest single span without REG (Regenerator), and it will allow co-transmission of 100G traffic with the existing 10G traffic. Full compatibility with the legacy network ensures smooth capacity expansion and protects CERNET's investment in network infrastructure.
